After several days of prayer and lots of talks with my husband, I am the new Locust Grove Free Will Baptist Wee School Teacher. What...me a teacher? I know! Children hold a very special place in my heart and I'm excited to be a part of this ministry at our church. Starting August 13th, I will have a classroom full of 3 and 4 year olds. Yes, these lives are in my hands five hours a day, 2 days a week. I am excited, yet nervous. The Lord has slowly been tugging on my heart to follow through with this, and I'm looking foward to seeing where HE leads me through all of this.
I have had the honor of staying home with Olivia this past year. I knew I wanted to be at home with her from day 1. So when the idea came up for me to take this teaching position, I was hesitant. Yes, I know..it's just 10 hours a week but I couldn't bear the thought of leaving her with someone else. Well, the Lord opened a door and my wonderful Sister in Law, Launi, offered to watch her. Whew...Launi loves Livy like her own so I have no worries about my baby girl. Plus, Livy turns 1 next month...(heartbreaking) so she is fixing to be exploring a whole new world as she starts walking and talking!
After hours of prayer, the Good Lord gave me a calming peace about my decision. I am embracing this new journey for our family. I think we will all benefit from this in different ways. We will be able to put a little more money back in savings, Olivia will get to play with her cousins twice a week(which she loves), and I will be able to minister to these children a few days a week and prepare them and teach them little lessons about life. Plus, I get to share Bible Stories and that is simply priceless to me.
Please pray as I beging this journey. Pray that I can be a godly influence in each of these kids lives and that most important that I bring glory to our Dear Father's name.

All in a month
A lot has happened in a month...

Got a brand new spankin' cousin
And as of yesterday...She got her 1st tooth...woo hooo....she's been gnawing on her hands for months now so I'm happy it poked right through.
Can't believe she is 6 months old. She is getting sooo big:-(

Titus's Celebration

Play time and eating time!
Since Livy no longer naps as long as she used to, we have to play. She sure likes Mr. Catepillar!
Since I'm her mama, she thinks I'm quite funny. It's nice to know somebody appreciates my lovely sing a long made up songs!
